Drivers with fewer than eight points therefore do not qualify for this particular eight-point reduction programme under the conditions announced for ADIHEX 2026.

There is a separate programme for motorists who have reached the cumulative limit of **24 traffic points**.
Instead of the AED 800 point-reduction programme, these motorists can apply to recover their driving licence.
They must register for the programme, pay **AED 2,400** and complete a rehabilitation course designed for traffic-law offenders.
Once the required procedures and course are completed, the driving licence can be restored in accordance with the programme’s conditions.

At Mushrif Mall, for example, motorists with 8 to 23 points could similarly pay AED 800 and complete a rehabilitation course to have eight points removed.

For motorists with **8 to 23 black points**, the programme costs **AED 800** and can result in eight points being removed after completing the required course.
For motorists who have reached **24 points**, the licence-recovery programme costs **AED 2,400** and also requires completion of a rehabilitation course.

The most important detail for eligible motorists is the deadline.
The temporary Abu Dhabi Police service at ADIHEX is available only until **September 6, 2026**.
