DIB Savings Account: How UAE Customers Can Earn Up to 6.60% Expected Profit

Dubai Islamic Bank is offering UAE customers the chance to earn higher expected returns through its **Al Islami Savings Account**, with expected profit rates going up to **6.60% per annum** under a limited-time campaign.

The offer is part of DIB’s **Bigger Earnings** campaign, designed for customers who open a new Al Islami Savings Account and bring fresh funds into the account during the campaign period.

For savers in the UAE, the campaign has gained attention because it offers a higher expected profit rate than many regular savings accounts, especially for eligible salary transfer customers.

## What is the DIB Bigger Earnings campaign?

The Bigger Earnings campaign is a limited-time savings offer from [Dubai Islamic Bank](https://www.dib.ae/).

Under the campaign, customers can earn higher expected profit on fresh funds deposited into a new **DIB Al Islami Savings Account**.

DIB says the campaign is available for both new and existing customers, but customers must open a new Al Islami Savings Account during the campaign period to qualify.

## How much can customers earn?

Eligible customers can earn up to **6.60% expected profit per annum**.

DIB lists two expected profit categories under the campaign.

New salary transfer customers can earn up to **6.60% expected profit per annum**, provided they transfer a new monthly salary of **AED 10,000 or more**.

All other eligible individual customers can earn up to **5.10% expected profit per annum**.

These are expected profit rates, not guaranteed fixed interest rates, because the account follows Islamic banking principles.

## What is the campaign period?

The campaign runs from **June 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026**.

Customers who want to benefit from the higher expected profit rate must open a qualifying new Al Islami Savings Account during this period and meet the campaign conditions.

## Who can qualify?

The campaign is open to individual customers who open a new DIB Al Islami Savings Account during the campaign period and deposit fresh funds.

Existing DIB customers can participate, but they must open a new Al Islami Savings Account and deposit fresh funds into that new account.

New-to-bank customers can also open an account through DIB’s digital channels or branches.

DIB staff are not eligible for the campaign.

## What counts as fresh funds?

Fresh funds mean new money brought into DIB during the campaign period.

Transfers between a customer’s own DIB accounts or movement of existing balances within the bank do not qualify.

DIB says the bonus profit applies only to the average incremental fresh funds deposited into the new Al Islami Savings Account during the campaign.

This means customers cannot simply move money from an old DIB account into a new account and expect to qualify for the bonus rate.

## What is the minimum balance required?

Customers must maintain a minimum incremental average balance of **AED 50,000**, or the equivalent in US dollars, to qualify for the bonus expected profit.

The bonus profit applies to eligible campaign balances up to **AED 4 million**, or the equivalent in US dollars.

Any balance above the eligible campaign limit may be calculated at the regular expected profit rate.

## How does the bonus profit calculation work?

DIB calculates the discretionary expected bonus profit based on the eligible average balance maintained during the campaign period.

For example, DIB gives an illustration where a new salary transfer customer increases their average balance by AED 50,000 from July 2 to August 31.

In that example, the bonus profit calculation is:

AED 50,000 × 6.60% × 61 days ÷ 365 days = AED 551.51.

For a non-salary transfer customer with the same AED 50,000 average increase for the same period, the calculation is:

AED 50,000 × 5.10% × 61 days ÷ 365 days = AED 426.16.

DIB notes that the discretionary bonus amount is at the bank’s discretion and may be more or less than the illustrations shown.

## When will customers receive the bonus profit?

DIB says the bonus profit will be credited to the new Al Islami Savings Account within **30 days after the end of the campaign period**, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

This means eligible customers should not expect the bonus immediately after depositing funds. The account must meet the conditions during the campaign, and the payout is made after the campaign ends.

## What happens if customers withdraw money?

Withdrawing funds during the campaign may affect eligibility.

If the required average balance is not maintained, or if funds are withdrawn, the bonus expected profit may be reduced or the customer may no longer qualify.

This is why customers should understand the campaign terms before participating, especially if they may need access to the money during the campaign period.

## What is the Al Islami Savings Account?

The [Al Islami Savings Account](https://www.dib.ae/personal/accounts/saving-accounts/al-islami-savings-account) is a Sharia-compliant savings account offered by Dubai Islamic Bank.

It is available in AED and other currencies and is designed to provide expected profit on savings.

DIB says profit on the Al Islami Savings Account is announced quarterly and calculated based on the average monthly balance in the account.

No profit is calculated for a month if the minimum balance during that month drops below **AED 1,000**. DIB also states that no profit is calculated for a month if there is more than one withdrawal transaction during that month through teller or electronic channels.

## Why this matters for UAE savers

Many UAE residents keep money in regular savings accounts that may offer low returns.

A campaign offering up to 6.60% expected profit can be attractive for people who already have savings and are looking for a Sharia-compliant place to keep fresh funds.

However, customers should read the terms carefully because the highest rate is not available to everyone. It depends on eligibility, fresh funds, salary transfer status, minimum balance and campaign rules.

## What customers should check before applying

Before opening the account, customers should check whether they are eligible for the higher expected profit rate.

They should also confirm the minimum balance requirement, fresh funds rule, withdrawal conditions, account fees, campaign period and payout timing.

Customers should read the official terms and conditions on the DIB website or speak directly with the bank before making a decision.

## Is this a guaranteed return?

No. The campaign mentions expected profit, not guaranteed interest.

Because DIB is an Islamic bank, its savings products follow Sharia-compliant structures. The bonus profit is described as discretionary and expected, meaning final payouts may depend on the bank’s terms and calculations.

Customers should treat the offer as a savings campaign with conditions, not as a guaranteed fixed deposit return.

## Why this matters

DIB’s Bigger Earnings campaign is getting attention because it gives eligible UAE customers a chance to earn higher expected returns on savings during a limited period.

For new salary transfer customers with fresh funds, the expected profit rate can reach up to 6.60% per annum. For other eligible customers, the rate can reach up to 5.10% per annum.

For savers, the campaign may be useful if they have fresh funds, can maintain the required balance and understand the terms.

As with any financial product, residents should compare options, read the official terms and make sure the account matches their financial needs before applying.
