By Thasmiya
Dubai’s cooler months are getting closer, and so is the return of one of the city’s most popular seasonal attractions.
[Global Village](https://www.whatmatters.ae/post/global-village-dubai-reopening-season-31-october) Dubai has confirmed that it will return for **Season 31 in October 2026**, following its annual summer break. The upcoming season is expected to run from **October 2026 until May 2027**.
While an exact opening date has not yet been revealed, Global Village is already teasing another season of cultural experiences, food, shopping, entertainment and attractions.
## **When will Global Village Season 31 open?**
Global Village’s official website currently states:
**Season 31: October 2026 – May 2027.**
However, the attraction has **not yet confirmed the exact opening day** for Season 31.
The previous season opened on **October 15, 2025**, which means a mid-October return is possible, but visitors should wait for the official Season 31 announcement before making plans around a specific date.
## **What can we expect from Season 31?**
Global Village has not yet released the complete list of new Season 31 attractions.
However, its official website is already promoting the return of its core experiences, including cultural pavilions, rides, dining, shopping and live entertainment. More announcements are expected as the October opening approaches.
Visitors can expect the destination to once again combine experiences inspired by countries and cultures from around the world.
## **New attractions could be coming**
The summer closure is not simply a break.
Global Village uses the off-season to carry out maintenance, renovate areas and prepare new experiences, attractions and pavilions for the upcoming season.
The exact new attractions for Season 31 have yet to be officially revealed, so visitors can expect announcements to roll out in the weeks leading up to reopening.
## **What was new in Season 30?**
Season 30 introduced several additions that could give visitors an idea of how Global Village continues to evolve each year.
One of the biggest additions was **Dragon Kingdom**, an interactive walkthrough attraction featuring 11 themed rooms where visitors help a dragon named Ignis regain his powers through challenges and puzzles.
**Little Wonderers at Carnaval** also introduced an indoor adventure area for younger visitors, complete with obstacle courses, climbing structures, slides, tunnels and ball pits.
The Main Stage received an upgrade, while the dragon at the centre of the lake gained new fire effects.
## **More food experiences**

Food remains one of the biggest reasons people return to Global Village.
Season 30 expanded **Fiesta Street**, while the Railway Market was transformed into the **Dessert District**, creating another dedicated destination for sweet treats and social-media-friendly food experiences.
Last season offered more than **250 dining options**, ranging from restaurants and cafés to street-food concepts representing cuisines from around the world.
Season 31 is expected to continue Global Village’s focus on international food, although its new restaurants and food concepts have yet to be announced.
## **Cultural pavilions will return**
Global Village’s country and regional pavilions remain at the heart of the experience.
Season 30 featured **30 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures**, giving visitors access to traditional products, food, performances and shopping experiences from different parts of the world.
The official Season 31 pavilion lineup has not yet been revealed.
## **Carnaval rides and games**
Thrill-seekers can also expect the return of the Carnaval area.
Global Village’s official website describes Carnaval as featuring **more than 200 rides, games and attractions**, ranging from family-friendly experiences to higher-energy amusement rides.
The final Season 31 ride lineup and any brand-new additions are expected to be revealed closer to reopening.
## **Live shows and entertainment**
Entertainment is another major part of the Global Village experience.
Its official website promotes a huge programme of performances across the destination, including cultural shows, street entertainment, children’s shows, Main Stage performances and stunt shows.
Season 30 featured more than 450 performers across the site. The complete entertainment programme for Season 31 has not yet been announced.
## **What about ticket prices?**
Global Village has not yet announced final **Season 31 ticket prices**.
During Season 30, tickets were priced at **AED 25 from Sunday to Thursday** and **AED 30 on Friday and Saturday**, according to The National. Entry was free for children under three, guests aged 65 and above and People of Determination under the applicable conditions.
Visitors should wait for Global Village to release the Season 31 ticket structure before assuming the same prices will continue.
## **Why does Global Village close during summer?**
Much of Global Village is outdoors, making Dubai’s hottest summer months unsuitable for normal operations.
The seasonal closure also gives teams time to maintain the destination, upgrade facilities and prepare new attractions and experiences before cooler weather returns.
This annual cycle is why Global Village has become closely associated with the beginning of Dubai’s outdoor season.
## **What visitors should know**
Global Village Season 31 is officially scheduled to run from **October 2026 to May 2027**.
The **exact opening date, new attractions, pavilion lineup, ticket prices and Season 31 entertainment programme have not yet been fully announced**.
Visitors should therefore check the official Global Village website and social channels before planning their first visit.
## **Why this matters**
For many Dubai residents, Global Village reopening is one of the clearest signs that the city’s outdoor season is returning.
Season 31 promises another several months of international food, shopping, cultural pavilions, rides and live entertainment, with new experiences expected to be revealed closer to opening.
For now, the date to remember is simply **October 2026**. The exact reopening day is still to come.
