Paying for petrol is a regular expense for most UAE drivers, but using the right loyalty programme can turn every refill into points, discounts, free fuel, car washes, coffee or other rewards.

Fuel companies including Emarat, ADNOC Distribution and ENOC operate free loyalty programmes that reward customers when they fill their tanks, shop at convenience stores or use services such as car washes and oil changes.

Drivers may also earn additional cashback or card rewards by paying with an eligible bank card. This means one fuel purchase can sometimes generate both petrol-station loyalty points and credit-card rewards.

Here is how motorists can make their regular fuel spending more rewarding.

## Are you really getting paid to buy fuel?

Not exactly in the form of a salary or direct payment.

Instead, UAE fuel loyalty programmes return part of your spending through points, vouchers, discounts, free products or redeemable credit.

Depending on the programme, the rewards may be used to pay for future fuel purchases, car-care services, food, drinks or offers from participating partners.

The more consistently you scan the correct app or membership code, the more value you can collect from purchases you would make anyway.

## EmCan by Emarat

[EmCan](https://www.emcan.com/en) is the loyalty programme operated by Emarat.

Members collect **EmCoins** whenever they make eligible purchases at participating Emarat service stations. This includes filling the tank, buying coffee, using car-wash facilities and accessing selected vehicle services.

To join, download the EmCan app and register an account. When making a purchase, open the membership QR code and ask the cashier or station employee to scan it.

EmCoins collected through the app can be redeemed for rewards, promotions and selected offers.

EmCan also gives new users their first **100 EmCoins**, subject to the programme’s current terms.

The programme can be useful for drivers who regularly use Emarat stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

## How to earn EmCoins

Download the EmCan app and complete the registration process.

Use the in-app map to find a participating Emarat station.

Before completing payment, open your membership QR code.

Scan the code when buying fuel, coffee, convenience-store items, car washes or eligible vehicle services.

Your EmCoins will be added to the account and can later be redeemed through the app.

Drivers should remember to scan before the transaction is closed, as points may be difficult to claim afterwards.

## ADNOC Rewards

[ADNOC Rewards](https://www.adnocdistribution.ae/en/rewards) allows members to earn points when purchasing fuel, shopping at ADNOC Oasis, washing a car, changing oil or using other eligible ADNOC Distribution services.

Membership is free and available through the ADNOC Distribution app.

Customers can identify themselves by presenting their Emirates ID or the membership QR code in the app when making a purchase.

Points can be redeemed to pay for fuel, selected purchases, car-care services and other offers available through the rewards section of the app.

## How ADNOC Rewards points work

ADNOC Distribution currently lists different earning rates based on the purchase category.

Members earn **3 points** on eligible E-Plus 91 fuel purchases and **5 points** on eligible Special 95 and Super 98 fuel purchases.

Eligible spending at ADNOC Oasis, car washes, oil-change services and selected LPG purchases can earn **10 points** under the published rewards structure.

Customers who pay through the ADNOC Distribution app or ADNOC Wallet can receive a **25% points bonus** on eligible transactions.

Because earning rules and promotional rates may change, users should check the current calculation shown inside the app before making decisions based on a specific points value.

## ADNOC Rewards membership tiers

ADNOC Rewards also has membership levels that unlock additional benefits.

Everyone begins as a Blue member. Customers move into Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers by collecting qualifying FALCONs over a 12-month period.

A qualifying fuel purchase of AED 75 or more can earn one FALCON. Selected non-fuel spending of AED 20 or more may also qualify.

Silver requires 40 FALCONs, Gold requires 100, and Platinum requires 200.

FALCONs determine membership status and do not have a cash value of their own. Reward points are the part that can be redeemed.

## Convert ADNOC points into other rewards

ADNOC Rewards points do not have to remain within the fuel ecosystem.

Members can convert points into [Etihad Guest](https://www.etihadguest.com/) miles. The published conversion rate is **110 ADNOC Rewards points for one Etihad Guest Mile**.

The programme also allows exchanges with [e& Smiles](https://www.smiles.ae/). The published rate is **15 ADNOC Rewards points for one Smile point**, while one Smile point can be converted into six ADNOC Rewards points.

These partnerships may make the programme more useful for people who also collect airline or lifestyle rewards.

## YES Rewards by ENOC

[YES Rewards](https://yesrewards.ae/) is ENOC’s fuel and lifestyle loyalty programme.

Members earn points when purchasing fuel at participating ENOC and EPPCO stations and when spending across participating brands within the ENOC network.

Eligible locations and services can include ZOOM convenience stores, AutoPro, Quick Oil Change, car washes and Tasjeel, depending on the current programme rules.

YES points can be redeemed for fuel, groceries, automotive services and other rewards available through participating brands.

## How to use YES Rewards

Download the YES Rewards app and register your account.

When visiting a participating ENOC or EPPCO location, open the membership code before paying.

Scan the code when purchasing fuel or using an eligible service.

Points will appear in the YES Rewards account and can later be redeemed through the app or at participating locations.

Drivers who regularly fuel at ENOC or EPPCO should use the membership code on every purchase rather than waiting for a large transaction.

## Which fuel rewards programme is best?

The best programme usually depends on which stations are closest to your home, office or regular driving route.

Choose **EmCan** if you regularly use Emarat stations and want to earn EmCoins across fuel, coffee, car washes and other station purchases.

Choose **ADNOC Rewards** if ADNOC stations are convenient and you want fuel redemption, tier benefits and the option to exchange points with Etihad Guest or Smiles.

Choose **YES Rewards** if you frequently use ENOC or EPPCO and also spend at ZOOM, AutoPro, Tasjeel or other participating ENOC brands.

Joining all three programmes is generally free, so drivers who use different station networks can register for each one and use the appropriate app depending on where they stop.

## Can you combine fuel rewards with credit-card cashback?

In many cases, yes.

A customer may scan a fuel-station loyalty account and then pay using a credit card that provides cashback or reward points for fuel spending.

The loyalty programme rewards the station transaction, while the bank separately calculates the card benefit.

However, card benefits can have monthly caps, minimum spending requirements, annual fees or restrictions on merchant categories. Some cards may also advertise a high percentage that is awarded as bank points rather than direct cash.

Always read the bank’s official terms before selecting a card purely for fuel cashback.

## The best strategy for earning more

Register for all free fuel programmes connected to stations you regularly use.

Keep the apps logged in and place them in one folder on your phone.

Scan the loyalty code before paying every time, including for smaller purchases.

Where practical, pay through the fuel company’s app if it provides additional points.

Use a suitable cashback or rewards card only when the value is higher than the card’s fees and conditions.

Check the app regularly for limited-time promotions, point multipliers, raffles and partner offers.

Redeem points before they expire and avoid spending extra money only to earn rewards.

## Common mistakes that reduce your rewards

The most common mistake is forgetting to scan the app before payment.

Drivers also lose value by using several accounts inconsistently, letting points expire or ignoring in-app offers.

Another mistake is choosing a distant petrol station just to earn points. The additional fuel and time spent travelling may be worth more than the reward earned.

Loyalty programmes are most useful when they reward purchases that already fit your normal routine.

## Are fuel reward programmes worth joining?

For most regular UAE drivers, they are worth joining because membership is generally free and the purchases are unavoidable.

One refill may not generate a large reward, but repeated fuel, car-wash, convenience-store and service transactions can accumulate over time.

The real benefit comes from consistency. A person who scans the app for every purchase is more likely to receive useful discounts than someone who remembers only occasionally.

## Why this matters

Fuel is one of the most regular costs of owning a car in the UAE.

Programmes such as EmCan, ADNOC Rewards and YES Rewards allow motorists to recover part of that cost through points, fuel redemption, vouchers, partner benefits and discounts.

Drivers will not become rich simply by filling their tanks, but they can avoid leaving free rewards behind.

The practical approach is to join the programmes connected to the stations you already use, scan every time and combine the points with a suitable payment reward where the terms make financial sense.
