UAE University Students Can Get Google AI Plus Free for 12 Months: Here’s How to Claim It

University students across the UAE can now get **Google AI Plus free for an entire year**, giving them access to advanced Gemini AI tools for studying, research, content creation and more.
The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, in collaboration with Google, announced the initiative on September 3, 2026. Eligible university students aged **18 and above** can register for the complimentary 12-month subscription until **December 31, 2026**.
For students who regularly use AI for assignments, research or exam preparation, the offer provides access to features normally included in Google’s paid AI subscription.
## **Who can get the free Google AI Plus subscription?**
The UAE programme is available to **registered university students aged 18 or older**.
Students need to verify their university status when registering. Google says eligible students may be asked to provide details such as a university ID and other information needed to confirm enrolment.
The offer must be claimed by **December 31, 2026**.

Instead of simply asking Gemini a general question, students can therefore use their own lecture notes and course materials as the basis for studying.

Deep Research can investigate a topic across multiple sources and produce an organised research report, giving students a starting point for exploring complicated subjects.

The subscription also includes Google’s generative media capabilities.
Google’s MENA announcement specifically highlights the **Omni model for generating video clips** and **Nano Banana for image generation**.

The free student subscription includes **400GB of storage**.

## **How to claim the free Google AI Plus offer in the UAE**
The registration process is relatively straightforward.
First, visit Google’s official student offer page and sign in using your eligible personal Google Account.

The initiative is intended to help students develop modern digital skills and prepare for a labour market increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, said the next stage requires moving beyond simply using AI tools towards understanding how to employ them responsibly in education and research.
The programme also follows an earlier student initiative and has now been expanded to reach more university students across the Arab world.

Eligible UAE university students have until **December 31, 2026** to register.
The key details are simple: you must be an eligible university student, be **18 or older**, complete the required student verification and claim the offer before the deadline.
