The UAE is heading into another hot and dusty week, with temperatures forecast to reach as high as **46°C in some inland areas** on Tuesday, September 8.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), conditions will range from fair to partly cloudy, while freshening winds could stir up dust and reduce visibility. Clouds are also expected to develop over eastern and southern parts of the country during the afternoon.

The highest temperatures are expected away from the coast.
Internal areas could record maximum temperatures between **42°C and 46°C**, while coastal areas and islands are expected to reach around **39°C to 44°C**.
Mountain areas will be considerably cooler, with temperatures ranging between **30°C and 36°C**. Minimum temperatures in the mountains could fall to around 23°C.
## **Dubai and Abu Dhabi could see dusty conditions**
Dubai and Abu Dhabi were already experiencing hazy and dusty skies on Tuesday morning, with reduced visibility reported in some areas.
Winds are expected to blow from the southeast to northeast at around **10–25km/h**, occasionally strengthening to approximately **35km/h**.
These stronger winds can lift dust and sand into the air, particularly across exposed and internal areas.
Motorists should therefore be prepared for patches of reduced visibility and leave additional distance between vehicles when conditions become dusty.
## **Clouds expected over eastern and southern UAE**
Tuesday will generally remain fair to partly cloudy, but clouds are forecast to develop over eastern and southern regions during the afternoon.
The changing conditions are linked to a weak surface low-pressure system extending from the east, accompanied by an upper-air low-pressure system.

Coastal humidity could reach around **85%**, particularly during the night and early morning.
By Thursday night and Friday morning, there is a possibility of **mist developing over some coastal areas**.

The likelihood of reduced visibility could increase toward the weekend.
NCM forecasts indicate that **fog or mist could form over some coastal and internal areas from Friday night into Saturday morning**.
This means the UAE could experience two different visibility issues this week: blowing dust during windy daytime conditions and fog or mist during humid overnight and early-morning periods.
## **Saturday could bring stronger winds**
Saturday could see another change in conditions.
Convective clouds may develop over eastern parts of the UAE during the afternoon, while winds could strengthen to approximately **40km/h**.
Those stronger winds could once again raise dust in exposed areas.
Fog or mist may then develop over some coastal and internal areas overnight and into Sunday morning.
## **What about the sea?**
Despite the changing conditions on land, seas are expected to remain relatively calm.
The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are forecast to remain **slight** during Tuesday’s conditions.
